Management and preservation of the records of the Diocese of Sydney
The Sydney Diocesan Archives provides information storage and retrieval services to the offices and officers of the Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney. The Archives hold material dating back to the origins of the colony to the present day, tracing the development of Australian faith, society, and culture.

There is no searchable catalogue of the Archives' holdings. Please contact the Diocesan Archivist for your specific enquiries.
The Archivist's Mission

Archivists ensure that records which have value as authentic evidence of administrative, corporate, cultural and intellectual activity are made, kept and used. The work of archivists is vital for ensuring organisational efficiency and accountability and for supporting understandings of Australian life through the management and retention of its personal, corporate and social memory.
